Welcome to Cyra Check. These Terms of Service explain the basic terms for using the Cyra Check website and app.

By using Cyra Check, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app or website.

About Cyra Check

​

Cyra Check is a gentle daily phone activity check app designed to help people who live alone stay connected with a trusted contact.

Cyra Check looks for phone activity during the morning check window. Around 10:01 AM, Cyra Check may send one simple daily email update to the trusted contact.

If phone activity is recorded during the morning check window, Cyra Check may send a Cyra Update to the trusted contact.

If no phone activity is recorded during the morning check window, Cyra Check may send a Cyra Notice to the trusted contact.

No manual daily check-in is required.

Not an Emergency Service

Cyra Check records phone activity signals only.

Cyra Check does not guarantee a person’s safety.

Cyra Check is not an emergency service, medical device, medical monitoring service, fall detection service, or safety guarantee.

Cyra Check does not call emergency services. It does not provide medical advice and does not guarantee that help will arrive.

Cyra Check does not replace emergency services, medical care, medical alert systems, professional caregiving, or direct personal contact.

In an emergency, call emergency services directly.

User Responsibility

The user is responsible for:

• Entering accurate setup information

• Entering an accurate trusted contact email address

• Choosing a trusted contact who agrees to receive Cyra Check email updates

• Keeping the app installed and properly configured

• Allowing required Android settings, including Usage Access when needed

• Keeping the phone powered on and connected when possible

• Turning Morning Check on or off as desired

• Understanding that phone activity detection and email delivery may depend on device settings, internet connection, permissions, battery settings, background activity rules, and third-party services

Trusted Contact Consent

Before using Cyra Check, the user should make sure the trusted contact understands and agrees to receive Cyra Check email updates.

Trusted contacts should understand that Cyra Check messages are simple phone activity status updates and may not fully reflect the user’s real-world condition.

Email Updates

​

Cyra Check may send one simple daily email update to a trusted contact when Morning Check is ON and setup is complete.

Cyra Check email updates may include:

• Cyra Update: phone activity was recorded during the morning check window

• Cyra Notice: no phone activity was recorded during the morning check window

Cyra Check is designed to avoid duplicate daily email updates when possible, but we cannot guarantee that duplicate messages will never occur.

Limitations

​

Cyra Check depends on technology that may not always work perfectly.

Email delivery, background activity detection, device permissions, Usage Access settings, internet connection, battery settings, Android system behavior, and third-party services may affect how the app works.

Cyra Check does not guarantee that phone activity will always be detected, that email updates will always be delivered, or that a trusted contact will respond.

Cyra Check does not monitor a person’s health, location, fall status, emergency status, or physical activity.

Privacy

Your use of Cyra Check is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

Please review the Privacy Policy to understand what information Cyra Check may collect, how it is used, and when daily email updates may be sent.

Changes to the App or Service

​

Cyra Check may be updated, changed, paused, or discontinued at any time as the app continues to develop.

We may also update these Terms of Service from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this website with a new effective date.

Intellectual Property

The Cyra Check name, logo, design, website content, and app content belong to Cyra Check or its owner.

You may not copy, reproduce, or use the Cyra Check name, logo, or materials without permission.

No Warranty

​

Cyra Check is provided as-is and as available.

We do our best to provide a helpful and reliable service, but we do not guarantee that the app or website will always be available, error-free, or uninterrupted.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Cyra Check and its owner are not responsible for damages, losses, injuries, missed updates, delayed emails, failed email delivery, failed phone activity detection, or actions taken or not taken based on Cyra Check email updates.
